We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I do something similar in my work, when I want the black to be darker I mix red into it, for some reason red makes black seem more vivid.
I don't use flat areas of black unless it's something I'm scribbling in ink, mixing in other colors gives it depth, I think blue makes it look further away (while red makes it closer) but that's how I see it...dunno if others do as well.
I love the way you put the stream of moonlight across the wave, beautifully blended there. The splash is great too.
